What's Happening in Residence Life?
Spring 2024 Housing Applications
Students seeking housing for the Spring 2024 semester may submit their applications in the Housing PortalÌýbeginning November 1 at 10:00AM MST. Residence Life is accepting applications for the Residence Halls (first-year students),Ìý1750 Jackson StreetÌý(second-year students), and Mines Park Apartments (upper-division students).
- Residence Halls:ÌýFirst-year students who deferred their enrollment until Spring 2024 are encouraged to apply for an available space in our Residence Halls! Students returning from their First-Year Study Abroad Experience (FYSAE) should plan to submit their housing application again to ensure that all information is up to date. Residence Life will additionally be in direct communicationÌýwith the FYSAE cohort via their Mines email.
- 1750 Jackson Street:ÌýThere are limited spaces currentlyÌýavailable in Jackson for interested second-yearÌýstudents; however, we anticipate a few more options becoming available as students vacate Jackson at the end of December to study abroad in the Spring! Second-year students are encouragedÌýto apply and see what is available!
- Mines Park Apartments: Limited spaces at Mines Park will be available for the Spring! We anticipate having a few vacancies to fill as students graduate and move out; however, offers will continue to be limited due to the ongoing renovations at Mines Park. It is unlikely that new applicants will be offered renovated units due to the current construction timeline, and students will be required to move units during the Spring semester to accommodate renovations. Please consider the redevelopment project prior to applying! Applications close on November 10 at 11:59PM MST!
Resident Advisor ApplicationsApply to Be a Resident Advisor for the 2024-2025 Academic Year! Applications for the RA position open on November 13th! Information sessions about taking place throughout November and January, so encourage your student to check out ourÌýÌýfor more information about this awesome student employment and leadership opportunity!
Winter Closing
Winter Break is coming soon! Throughout November, residents can expect to receive information via email and ourÌýÌýabout winter closing!
- All Residence Halls close for Winter Break on Friday, December 15thÌýat 12:00PM sharp! The Residence Halls will re-open on Sunday, January 7thÌýat 10:00AM for incoming students and at 12:00PM for all returning students.
- 1750 Jackson Street and Mines Park do not close for Winter Break. Students should still prepare their apartments for extended absences if they have travel plans! Mines Park residents who intend to vacate at the end of the Fall 2023 semester must submit an Intent to Vacate form, which has been sent via email!
