book

Dylan, Electrical Engineering, Larkspur, Colo.

鈥淪tudy groups have been pretty paramount to my own success at Mines. Having another perspective on how to approach a problem that you鈥檙e stuck on is helpful, to say the least. Two mindsarealways better than one, and three is evenradder.鈥

book

Zach, Mechanical Engineering, Seattle, Wash.

鈥淒oing homework with friends is always better than alone. Don鈥檛 let yourself drown in thework, butcollaborate often.鈥

book

Grace, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Broomfield, Colo.

鈥淪tudy groups are a great way to check your understanding and also socialize, so it is a win-win situation!鈥

book

Madeline, Mechanical Engineering, Noblesville, Ind.

鈥淚 generally just study with my friends, but it鈥檚 always good to meet people in classes so you have someone to reach out to if you鈥檙e stuck.鈥

book

Michelle, Mechanical Engineering, The Woodlands, Texas

鈥淪tudy groups are the best way to succeed in classes and to make friends. You’ll be able to learn from peers and teach your peers concepts, which is just as valuable. Always reach out to fellow students and see if they want to study with you because they’re probably thinking the same thing as you.鈥

book

Colton, Mechanical Engineering, Olathe, Kan.

鈥淪tudy groups are always a great option. You could bring questions you are confused about and there will almost always be someone to explain it. It also encourages you to get work done in a productive manner. Furthermore, studying with people you know can help reduce stress which is detrimental against productive test-taking.鈥

鈥淪tudy groups at Mines are quite possibly the best thing to happen to me in college.听 I have made my best friends in the library late at night.鈥

book

Caleb, Computer Science, Denver, Colo.

鈥淪tudy groups are the perfect excuse to make friends. Some of my best friends still are the fellow freshmen that struggled in Data Structures with me.鈥

book

Kejun, Chemical Engineering, China

鈥淪tudy groups are what got me through my time with taking classes. Graduate-level classes are hard. We are all in the same boat, and everyone was so supportive of each other rather than being competitive. That鈥檚 one thing I love about being an Oredigger!鈥

book

Sydney, Geological Engineering, Piedmont, Okla.

鈥淪tudying with groups and friends has really helped me improve my experience. Mines is known for its difficult academics鈥擨 couldn鈥檛 have done it alone.鈥
