Physics provides the foundation for most applied science and engineering disciplines. It attracts those who wish to understand nature at its most fundamental level. This minor program combines physics principles with engineering applications, emphasizing the development of innovative technologies and solutions. Students gain expertise in electromagnetism, quantum mechanics and optics, allowing them to apply fundamental physics concepts to engineering challenges.

The engineering physics minor will enhance undergraduates’ technical expertise and problem-solving abilities while preparing them to meet the industry’s challenges. To complete the engineering physics minor, students must complete:

  • Required courses (7 credits)
  • Elective courses (at least 11 credits)
